The federal government in the United States of America operates using budgetary principles that are intentially misleading. This needs to stop and clear accounting enforced by law. It should be required that every piece of federal property, every department, every job, and every project be accounted clearly back to the states and the people. This is not actually difficult or and overly burdensome requirement anymore, not in the age of computers. And it wouldn’t take much effort to implement.
